At Spring Valley Pediatrics we emphasize the importance of individualized, personalized care. Our doctors are committed to providing the best possible care for your children and recognize that continuity of care is one of the best ways to achieve this goal. Children do best when they know what to expect. Therefore, typically, you and your child will see his or her “own” doctor at every visit; you will usually see the same nurse at each visit who will also be the person to whom you will talk when you call the office about your child. We enjoy forming long-term relationships with our patients and their families – we want to get to know you and your child well!
At Spring Valley Pediatrics, we are dedicated to providing excellence in all aspects of infant, child, adolescent and young adult medical care. We will have you schedule well child visits to confirm your child’s good health as well as screen for growth and developmental problems. We offer same day acute care visits for all sick children. We will work with your schedule to find a convenient time for your appointment.
At Spring Valley Pediatrics, we are committed to providing in-office laboratory services for our patients, so that treatment plans may be expedited and individualized. You and your child will not need to travel elsewhere for laboratory testing (see “Laboratory” in the Services section).
At Spring Valley Pediatrics, we are committed to facilitating communication between our patients and their pediatrician and nurse. We pride ourselves on the accessibility of our physicians. One of our doctors is available twenty-four hours a day every day throughout the year (see “After Hours” section). Our doctors and nurses are available for telephone contact throughout daily office hours. Each doctor is available each weekday morning on a “doctor’s call-in time” (see “Doctor Call-In Hours” in the Services section).
At Spring Valley Pediatrics, we have separate waiting rooms for newborns and their families. We also have separate waiting rooms for “Sick” and “Well” older children to minimize illness exposure. Our patients enjoy the large, very active fish tanks in each waiting room.
Should your infant or child require hospitalization for medical care, the doctors in our practice have “admitting privileges” at Children’s National Medical Center and at Georgetown University Medical Center. After discussion with you, we will admit your child to the hospital where he (she) can receive the best care for his (her) particular medical problem.
There are no charges for school and camp forms, after hour telephone calls, prescription refills, hearing and vision screening or prenatal visits. We complete most camp and school forms at the time of your visit and no later than 48 hours after receiving the form.
Our goal as a practice is to make your child’s experience as friendly and comfortable as possible, while giving you confidence that your child is receiving the best of pediatric care.
