Dr. Palumbo, born and raised in Connecticut, has enjoyed living in the Washington area since he attended Georgetown University where he received a B.S. in Biology. He continued his studies at Georgetown where he completed medical school and his pediatric residency. He served as the Director of Georgetown’s Children & Youth Ambulatory Services for 10 years before entering private practice. He has maintained his position as Associate Professor of pediatrics at Georgetown University Hospital. Dr. Palumbo has served as an advisor for the American Academy of Pediatrics and has appeared before Congress as an expert child advocate on the Task Force on Children and Television. Dr. Palumbo has been at Spring Valley Pediatrics for twenty years and is honored to be part of his patients’ lives.

Dr. Palumbo enjoys spending his free time with his wife, Sharon, and his beautiful granddaughter. He can also be found sailing in local waters, sampling fine wines, and cheering at a Hoya basketball game.
