L. Harrison Pillsbury, MD

Following graduation from Yale University, Dr. Pillsbury served in the Peace Corps for two years in Iran. He then graduated from George Washington University Law School and briefly practiced law at the Department of Housing and Urban Development. Dr. Pillsbury soon realized that law was not the profession he wanted and instead decided medicine was his calling. He graduated from Georgetown University Medical School and did his pediatric residency and an allergy fellowship at Georgetown University Hospital.

Since completion of his fellowship in 1981, Dr. Pillsbury has been a partner with Spring Valley Pediatrics. He practices general pediatrics with a special interest in allergies. He is available for routine well check-ups and acute care visits for newborns, children and young adults through college age.

He has been named in the Washingtonian Magazine for several years as one of the best pediatricians in the Washington metro area. He lives with his wife, Jan, in Bethesda. They have four sons and a daughter.
